Every year, the Internet leaves a new Earth behind.
pinthe.world is a 3D Earth that starts empty on 1 January. Anyone — a person, a company, a project, a city, a community — can pick a spot and leave a mark: a logo, a name, a few words and a link.
How it works
- Pick a spot. Click anywhere on the Earth.
- Add your mark. Image, name, short text, link.
- Pay the minimum or more. Mark #1 costs 1 USD, mark #50 costs 50 USD, mark #1 284 costs 1 284 USD. The earlier, the cheaper.
- Review. We check every mark before it goes live, usually within 24 hours.
- Get boosted. Anyone can boost any mark from 1 USD. Boosts push a mark up the yearly ranking and make it visible from further away.
Three numbers per mark
- Sequence — #1 284: when it was created. Never changes.
- Total contributed — owner's payment plus community boosts.
- Rank — position in this year's ranking. Changes all year.
The more your mark is worth, the further it can be seen: zoomed out, only the top marks show; zoom in and everything appears.
End of year
On 31 December the Earth freezes. The year's TOP 50 goes into the Hall of Fame and the map stays online forever as a snapshot of that year's Internet. On 1 January, a new Earth starts at 1 USD.
What it is not
No NFTs, no crypto, no tokens, no payouts, no resale. A mark is a place on a map and a piece of history — nothing more, nothing less.
